MIOT Rehab Centre Helps Mr. Pranesh Vishnu Triumph Over Paraplegia and Even Swim Again!
After surviving a high-speed car accident in which the vehicle slammed into a moving truck, Mr. Pranesh sustained injuries in almost 60% of his spinal cord; fractures in his shoulder and ribs, and damage to his liver and spleen, leading to haemorrhagic shock (Grade III). Doctors at a hospital in Coimbatore operated on him, but declared that he would never be able to walk again. Mr. Pranesh was brought to MIOT Rehab Centre in a paraplegic state, bound to a stretcher with almost no sensation in his lower body, including bowel and bladder control.
MIOT Rehab Centre took on the challenge of putting Mr. Pranesh back on his feet through 12 weeks of critical rehabilitation. Come, join us in knowing how experts from the MIOT Rehab Board rehabilitated Mr. Pranesh through a specially formulated treatment plan after a thorough evaluation of his medical records.
Today, Mr. Pranesh has regained bowel and bladder control, mobility, balance, and coordination. The rehabilitation programme not only helped him to walk and do his daily tasks independently, but also enabled him to swim.
